In my soul, I carry the love with which my grandmothers cooked for the family, and in my vivid memories, the flavors and aromas that filled each home, each with its own style. During the pandemic, I had the privilege of spending the days of lockdown surrounded by greenery, listening to birds and watching my garden bloom; I cooked on the BBQ under the savannah sun and also under the stars. There were sunny days for lunch outside in the garden, cold and rainy nights by the fireplace, for dinner by candlelight in the dining room, and other more relaxed nights for cooking and eating in the kitchen.
My recipes and menus always accompanied me; we cooked with family and friends, and despite the lockdown we all experienced, very special moments from these gatherings will remain in my heart. In these moments, cooking managed to change the atmosphere, break the routine, and turn around the emotions of the days, raising the vibration and keeping our spirits high.
During this time, my friends started asking me for ideas to vary their menu. I began sharing what I was cooking daily, always looking to create a different atmosphere during the day, break the monotony, play with the weather, the time of day, the days of the week... to make quarantine less eternal and more pleasant.
And so, by discovering, exploring, and inventing combinations of flavors, textures, and ingredients, @cocinadecasa_tatianaheld was born, with the aim of opening up a universe of infinite possibilities and sharing my recipes with more people, thinking about those dishes that are important to me and offering them to the people I love, because beyond cooking, it is the act of sharing that makes sense to me.
